Beaches with Unique Caves in Bali

The majority of beaches in Bali are in the karst area withits distinctive rocks. Karst rocks have many unique cavities, this makes thekarst area has a lot of caves. You can see it on the beaches in the south ofBali and also in Nusa Penida.

Suluban Beach

This beach is located on the west side of Tanjung Benoa, alittle north of the Uluwatu temple. Its official location is in Pecatu, SouthKuta, Badung Regency. This beach is one of the favorite destinations of surfersbecause it has surf breaks which are quite challenging.

This white sand beach is also surrounded by many cliffs, youeven have to go through a quite difficult road between two cliffs to reach thisplace. There are several small caves that you can use to rest or for shadeswhen the sun is too hot.

Tegal Wangi Beach

This beach is located on the northwest of Tanjung Benoa.This is one of the hidden beaches on the Bukit Peninsula. This beach has softwhite sand with a wonderful sea view. This beach is quite unique and exotic byitself. This beach is located on Jl. Tegal Wangi, Jimbaran, Kuta Sel., BadungRegency.

You can find a relatively wide cave on this beach. Usually,this cave is used by tourists who want to take a rest after enjoying the beautyof the beach. You can also find a tide pool that you can use to relax right onthe seafront. Sunset views here are also extraordinarily beautiful.

Gunung Payung Beach

The beach is hidden under a large rock cliff. Like most ofthe South Coast of Bali, Gunung Payung beach also has a soft stretch of whitesand. To reach this beach you have to go through a steep flight of stairs thatis claimed to total around 300.

This beach has a stretch of a white sandy strip with greatsea views. You will also find several small caves that you can use for shadewhen the sun is too hot. The wave at this place is relatively quieter than someof the surrounding beaches, so you can swim most of the time. The location ofthe beach is in Kutuh, South Kuta, Badung Regency.

Green Bowl beach

This is one of the most hidden beaches in Bali. The beachhas a 30-meter white sand strip. You have to go down a 75-meter flight ofstairs on a cliff in Ungasan. The official address of this beach is in Ungasan,South Kuta, Badung Regency.

This beach has two limestone cave that encloses small rockshrines. You can also use these two caves as a place to rest and take refugefrom the heat. The best time to visit this beach is during low tide because youcan snorkel safely with good visibility.

Diamond Beach

Diamond Beach is located in Nusa Penida, an island locatedin southeast Bali. This beach can only be reached by descending dramaticstairs. The stairs are carved by the locals to visit tourist visits to thisbeach. There is a rope handrail that will provide security for your trip down.
